Hacking a Nintendo Wii?
I know that a lot of softmods around and hardmods. I just downloaded a set of softmods I just found out, but I also I just downloaded WiiBrickBlocker. wiibrick now have the program let you edit only once or iso and burn the iso on a disc that will play in any wii or do i need a softmod? and if I have a softmod yet does anyone know any good softmods copys that I can play dvdr iso on a disk or perhaps use a flash drive iso or hard disk.
Forgetting for a moment Brick Blocker will have to first install the Homebrew Channel: 1. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Setting_up_your_Wii_for_Homebrew The Homebrew Channel is essentially the alternative operating system that allows you to run unofficial applications such as backup DVD and USB chargers, media players and emulators among other things. Regardless of what you want to have to install the channel since it is the only way to softmod the Wii today. 2. I have not played DVD copies up time from the change to USB charging, but I will give you a link to a brilliant manager who has a very high rate of compatibility and I've used for several months: http://gbatemp.net/index.php ? act = module & module = blog & mid = 136 843 & page = 1 3. It is, of course, preferred to play the ISOs from a hard drive because it is much faster than the disks to both original and backup. There are a number of USB chargers available at this time, but the best in my experience is the manager of CFG: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=147638 You need to install custom IOS36 rev 10 below first (there are many versions of this up to 14 revolutions, but I found rev 10 for being the best) http://www.teknoconsolas.es/blogs/waninkoko?page=1 4. Only a few other things that might interest you: Links to media players, games, emulators, etc: If you have http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_applications any problems then check the forum first? The posters simply know everything there is to know about this area and they are my main source for evolution of the scene: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showforum=108 Finally, the reason for the brick Blocker is irrelevant because the DVD and USB backup Chargers largely superseded it. Brick Blocker work to eliminate annoying upgrade partition in ISO that would otherwise have been the user to upgrade resulting in the Homebrew Channel not working or bricks, due to updated different region. Since the DVD loader I gave you a link to the update blocks back security (even if the partition is not removed) and USB charger that eliminates automatically when added to the ISO to the hard drive, no sense in using more brick blocker. Hopefully this serves as a good introduction to Wii homebrew GBAtemps go and remember if you ever have a problem. Good luck! PS You will WAD Manager 1.4 to use the Custom Installation rev 10. It is available for download from the same page as rev 10.
